The second step is to measure pillow dimensions. You should know such parameters as length width, and circumference. Use these parameters to know how much fabric material and welt cord you need.

Bolster pillow for your neck

Choose the fabric of your bolster pillow. Then cut a piece of cardboard into a round shape, you will use it as a template. After, cut two-inch wide piece of fabric. Its length should be equal to the length of the welt cords to serve as its cover. You need two strips. Buy a zipper for your bolster pillow. It should be little bit longer than the length of the bolster foam. Then take all materials for your handmade bolster pillow and switch-on the sewing machine. After, sew welt cord cover and install the cord inside the welt cover. Snip cover for curve sewing. Snip the nap of the cover. It allows attachment to the circular ends of the bolster pillow. Sew your new zipper on, attach welt strip, install the welt onto the top and bottom edges of the fabric, use pins to install round ends. Attach the round pieces adjacent to the strip. Sew pinned pieces together. After you can reverse the fabric, insert the foam inside, zip it up and use your handmade product!
